Continue improving your indoor air quality.

Getting your air-ducts (supplies and returns) cleaned is excellent way to improve your indoor air quality, but if you want, more can be done!

HVAC system is working in cycles, meaning, the same indoor air is being circulated time and time again - the air is being sucked through the return ducts into the system and reaches the furnace, gets filtered to remove dust and other particles sucked inside as well, then it gets either cooled or heated, and finally leaves the furnace and being distributed to the air supplies all over the house.

The HVAC filter is great, however, it cannot stop all kinds of airborne pathogens, bacteria, viruses, etc. This is where the UV Light comes handy and helps killing these microorganisms, because it is installed after the cooling coils at the exit of the furnace right where the air is being distributed back into the house.

A Few Reasons and Benefits Of Having UV Light Installed

First and Foremost - UV light Improves the indoor air quality of your home or office. As explained above, this is a great way to go an "extra mile" and complement the improvement of your indoor air quality on top of the air-duct cleaning service.

UV light is a Real Killer - it has proven to be effective at killing and significantly reducing airborne pathogens, bacteria, viruses as well as microorganisms (such as mold and mildew) that would cycle in your HVAC system multiple times a day, from one room to another!

Great Complementary Addition - UV light is a complementary product you want to add to your HVAC system, especially after thorough / deep HVAC air duct cleaning, to keep your ducts and indoor air cleaner for longer time.

Improve your health - UV light in your home or business HVAC system will reduce the risk of exposure to elements that are linked to respiratory health issues that are known to be linked to poor indoor air quality (such as asthma, allergies, sinus infections, and more).

It is a small investment with high positive health outcome!

UV Light Front

Did you know?

  • UV Light bulb can last 8000-9000 hours (this is 11-12 months!), and some even longer!

  • Some UV light solutions come with "Energy Saving Airflow Sensors", meaning they will work only when the HVAC system is active (blowing air) and will not work when the system is idle, resulting in higher efficiency that translates to longer bulb life. Call us to check what is the right solution for you!

  • UV light bulb is very easy to replace and in most cases you can do it yourself.

  • Direct exposure to UV light may be harmful to your eyes and skin, this is why you need to have it installed by  experienced technicians, or you can do it yourself if you are a good DIY'er.

  • When it's time to replace the light (normally after 12-16 months), simple disconnect its power cord from the power outlet, open the designated area, replace the bulb, and close it back.

  • The UV-C Light Devices we use have an outer light indicator, allowing you, the home owner, to know if the bulb is lit and working properly without the need to directly look at the actual UV Light bulb.

  • Note that the UV light devices we install come with either single (1) bulb or double (2) UV Bulbs. These bulbs normally last for at least 1 year. For those with 2 bulbs - even if one of them gone bad your system is being protected by the second bulb. You may need to replace them only when both bulbs are not working anymore.
